Dear Jason,
Thank you for your email and your kind invitation. The Secretary of State feels that implementing the recommendations of the review in regards to the governance of the Swansea Bay City Deal is a matter for the region. He feels that this should be bottom up and his direct attendance at the JSC may distort this process.
He’s keen to continue working closely with the region and Welsh Government to ensure the success of the Swansea Bay City Deal.
Best wishes,
Salisa

Dear Correspondence Unit
Thanks for the response from Mr. Cairns in relation to Councillor Woolcock’s letter dated 11th March.
Could you please advise whether Mr. Cairns would be available on the 16th
May at 2:00pm to attend a Swansea Bay City Region Joint Scrutiny Committee
meeting, to discuss the content of both Councillor Woolock’s letter and Mr.
Cairns’ response?
Kind regards
Jason
